Warranty Policy

Lifetime Frame Warranty Policy

At Sofas24, we take immense pride in the craftsmanship of our furniture. Our sofas are made with quality materials, skilled workmanship, and strong internal construction, so we are proud to offer a Lifetime Frame Warranty on all eligible sofas.

This warranty protects the main structural wooden frame of your sofa for the expected usable lifetime of the product under normal domestic use. Additional components, including springs, webbing, recliner mechanisms, cushion fillings, stitching, fabric and leather, are covered under our tiered warranty as outlined below.

This warranty is provided by Sofas24, operated by Sofa Hub LTD, and applies in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

How Our Lifetime Frame Warranty Works

Your warranty begins from the date your furniture is delivered and applies to the original purchaser only. As your sofa matures, the level of cover changes to reflect the natural lifecycle of upholstered furniture.

Lifetime means the expected usable lifetime of the sofa under normal domestic use. It does not mean unlimited cover for general wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, upholstery, cushions, mechanisms, or cosmetic changes.

Tier 1: Years 1–2 — Comprehensive Cover

For the first two years of ownership, your sofa is covered against manufacturing defects.

What is covered:
The structural wooden frame, springs, webbing, stitching, electrical or manual recliner mechanisms, cushion fillings, and upholstery fabric or leather.

What we will do:
If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace the defective part or product. This includes parts, labour, and necessary transportation where required.

Tier 2: Years 3–5 — Structural & Mechanical Cover

During years three to five, the warranty focuses on the core structure and mechanical parts of your sofa.

What is covered:
The internal wooden frame, structural joints, suspension systems such as springs and webbing, and internal metal recliner mechanisms.

What is not covered:
Fabric, leather, stitching, and cushion interiors such as foams and fibres, as these components are subject to natural wear, tear, softening, settlement, and ageing over time.

What we will do:
If a covered manufacturing defect is confirmed, we will supply the necessary replacement parts and cover the labour required to repair the structural or mechanical fault.

Tier 3: Year 6 Onwards — Lifetime Frame Warranty

From year six onwards, your sofa remains protected by our Lifetime Frame Warranty.

What is covered:
The main structural wooden frame and foundational joints against snapping, breaking, or severe warping caused by a manufacturing defect under normal domestic use.

What is not covered:
Electrical or manual recliner mechanisms, springs, webbing, cushion fillings, stitching, fabric, leather, cosmetic damage, and normal wear and tear.

What we will do:
If a covered frame defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace the defective structural frame. Approved frame parts and frame repair labour will remain covered. A standard inspection, call-out, or transportation fee may apply after year five.

Important Exclusions

This warranty covers manufacturing defects only. It does not cover:

General Wear & Tear:
Natural settlement of cushion fillings, softening of foam or fibre, natural stretching, creasing, puddling, fading, or ageing of fabrics and leathers.

Accidental Damage:
Spills, stains, burns, scratches, cuts, rips, pet damage, water damage, or damage caused by accidents.

Misuse or Neglect:
Damage caused by sitting on the arms or back of the sofa, jumping on the furniture, incorrect use of recliner mechanisms, improper cleaning, use of unauthorised chemicals, or failure to follow care instructions.

Environmental Damage:
Damage caused by exposure to direct sunlight, heat sources, damp conditions, humidity, or unsuitable storage.

Commercial Use:
This warranty applies to normal domestic use at a residential address only. It does not cover products used in commercial, rental, hospitality, office, or non-domestic environments.

Movement or Transport Damage:
Damage caused by moving, lifting, transporting, dismantling, or storing the sofa incorrectly after delivery.

Unauthorised Repairs or Modifications:
Any damage caused by repairs, alterations, or modifications carried out by anyone not authorised by Sofas24.

Clearance or Ex-Display Items:
Clearance, ex-display, or discounted items may be subject to a separate or modified warranty unless clearly stated otherwise at the time of purchase.

Made-to-Order / Bespoke Items

Made-to-order, bespoke, or custom-configured sofas cannot be returned due to a change of mind, as they are made specifically for the customer.

However, all eligible made-to-order and bespoke items remain fully protected under this Lifetime Frame Warranty against manufacturing defects, in line with the warranty tiers above.
